Many forms of abnormal movement present themselves in ways that are not exactly rhythmic or continuous, or may be very subtle movement such as eye fluttering.
If you would like SAMi to alert to these types of movements, we encourage you to experiment with the "Sensitivity Boost" setting. You can find this by clicking on the gear icon (settings), then just under Alarm Threshold you'll see Sensitivity Boost.
How to optimize Sensitivity Boost:
We recommend starting at 15% - Sit in front of your SAMi Camera and mimic the movement you want to be alerted to.
If the alert happens too quickly, you have a few options:
- Reduce the Motion Threshold
- This reduces the amount of movement needed for SAMi to begin counting down
- Increase the Alarm Threshold
- This increases the amount of time SAMi should wait before alerting you
- Reduce the Sensitivity Boost
After a few tries you should find the right balance. If you are in need of further help please contact us by submitting a request
