How to reset your SAMi Camera and pair it with your SAMi Router - (Router Kit & SAMi Complete Kit Owners)

Important - If you're resetting your camera because you've been experiencing disconnections, live view interruptions, or any other issues related to connectivity - know that a quick fix is to connect the SAMi Camera to your Router via ethernet cable permanently. A hardwired connection will always be more stable and faster than wireless.

How to reset your SAMi Camera and pair it with your SAMi Router - (Router Kit & SAMi Complete Kit Owners)

Important: Never press the reset button on your SAMi Router! If you do this by accident, follow the steps in this article to reconfigure your SAMi Router: How to reconfigure your SAMi Router

1. Remove the SAMi camera from the SAMi App. Open the SAMi App, go to the settings gear in the bottom right of the screen, and then go to Camera Settings. Under Camera Status, hit "Remove". You will receive an error message that says:

2. Now, force quit the SAMi App

3. With your SAMi Camera plugged into a power source, use an opened paperclip (or small pointy object) to briefly press the button in the hole on the side. Watch for the power light to go off for a couple of seconds before illuminating red and then green again.

4. Reopen the SAMi App and follow the on-screen instructions. 

You have now successfully reset your SAMi Camera!
